WHY SHOULD CATHOLICS 
KNEEL FOR COMMUNION?



"The highest position that 
any man can achieve 
is kneeling at the feet of Jesus
because He is the one who saved you."


"If this generation of Catholics knew what had really taken place at Calvary then they would not be on their knees at communion but they would be on their faces prostrate before God begging forgiveness for their sins until they drew their last breath."



Catholics no longer kneel before their Lord and King because they are no longer in receipt of the deposit of faith concerning the 'awesomeness of God' and what He has done for each and every one of them. 

Because of this many Catholics have lost the concept that they need to be humble before Him.

The Sanitisation of Calvary

All things were made through Him, but what else happened to Christ to make Christians want to be humble before him?

It is not until Catholics once again hear authentic Catholic teaching that they will
understand why they should 
kneel before their Lord and Savior.

 What actually happened at Calvary was not the sanitised vision that we have of the crucifixion. 

For a complete explanation we need to see what happened when Christ was present in the Garden of Gethsemane, the moment of His death, and then when He descended into Hell. Catholics have collectively forgotten the truth behind how Christ came to be their saviour.

It is also difficult for Catholics to associate with the spiritual realities of Calvary because many no
longer believe in the realities of Satan or Hell.


SO, WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED?

1. THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE..

"So, when was the last time you saw someone sweat blood?"

Sweating drops of blood is not unknown in medicine but it is an extremely rare occurrence. The clinical word for it is "hematohidrosis". It can happen when the blood vessels around the sweat glands constrict (due to extreme stress) and then dilate to the point of rupture. The blood is released from the body through the sweat glands. 

The fact that Jesus sweats drops of blood is an indication to us of how
severe his suffering was. It points to the fact that besides being fully God, he was fully man. He did not use his Godhood to evade or sidestep
any of the pain he was about to undergo. Catholics forget that this suffering came not out of a knowledge of the physical suffering he was to under go at the Crucifixion but came out of a knowledge of the cost of every sin that every human being had committed from the first day until the last. It was a suffering that also came out of the full understanding of what was to happen later on when he descended to Hell.

The sweating of drops of blood gives us a hint about what the decision in the garden cost. 
It reminds us of the cost of God's love

The Father
was willing to give his Son and the Son was willing to pay the complete price for our redemption. 
  
The question for each of us is:  
Are we willing to receive this great gift?

It will be only at the moment of our death that we will fully understand
just how much was paid in Christ's suffering for our salvation. However, when Catholics start to understand what Hell actually is (see below) then we will start to once again attain an understanding of Christ's suffering.



2. THE CRUCIFIXION


When Christ was scourged and was carrying His 
cross it was not the sanitised event 
that is portrayed on film and television. 
He was being mutilated and tortured from the 
outset of the scourging to being placed upon the 
cross. This aspect as been acknowledged by 
Pope John Paul II, and was intentionally and 
accurately portrayed in the film 
The Passion of the Christ
Beyond this Catholics have also lost sight 
of the supernatural aspects of Faith. 
Other prisoners would have suffered 
as they walked to their death, 
but they would not have been flayed,  
had their flesh torn apart, and been mutilated 
which was what  actually happened to Jesus 
on His way to Calvary.
 
On Christs journey to Calvary Satan was fully in 
charge of proceedings and for a few hours 
Satan placed barriers up 
against the crowd's and soldier's hearts which 
suspended what humans recognise as God's 
'natural law'.
Christ was to be mutilated and tortured for daring 
to challenge Satan's authority on Earth.
 


3. CHRIST DESCENDS TO HELL!



Finally, there is one piece of Catholic teaching 
which has been lost which must be fully understood.
Without this deposit of faith we 
cannot comprehend how
Christ suffered when he descended to Hell.
 
It will shed light on why all Christian's should be 
humble before God
 
Why does Satan want you, 
and as many people as possible, 
to go to hell?


To the average person, let alone the average 
Catholic, it does not seem logical 
that someone would want to destroy you to the 
point that you would suffer in 
despair forever. The answer 
lies in the fact that Satan was once in heaven 
and has seen the true glory of God.
He has seen everything that God has 
created for us all. 
 
God's transfigured glory is filled 
with so much majesty and 
love for His creation,
that after Satan was thrown out 
of the angelic realm 
he began to hate you 
to your very core.

 WHY? 

He knows that you have an opportunity 
to gain what he has lost forever. 
He despises you to the very core of 
your existence because you 
can now gain that which 
he will never be able to behold again.

 
Satan wants to guarantee the worst thing 
that is possible for every human being. 
He wants to separate every human from 
God's love for all eternity. It is this 
perpetual separation from 
God that we know as hell. 
 
Separation from God is the greatest state of 
suffering and despair that a human being 
can experience. 
This separation from God will perpetually 
expose 
'the full ramifications and extent
of every sin that every individual ever committed.
 
This personal revelation will manifest itself as 
the pain of human flesh being burned.
This will continue for all eternity.
 
(Whilst we are on Earth God shields us from the 
physical and mental pain, which is described 
in scripture, as flesh burning).
 
However, the final part of the judgement 
will be that those who end up in hell 
will instantaneously know that 
they fully deserve this perpetual despair 
due to sins that they committed against others 
whilst on Earth. Despite 
knowing this truth there will be 
nothing that they can 
do about it.

 
Without this lost Catholic knowledge we
can never fully comprehend what Christ 
went through when he descended 
into hell for our sakes.

 
 
So, at the moment of Christ’s death he descended 
into hell for three days and experienced 
mental torture,
 mental suffering and despair to the extent that his 
body and flesh burned. He experienced the despair 
of being separated from the transfigured love of His 
(and our) Father. 
 
However, Christ had to conquer the grave.
He had to be the first re-born of all creation. 
So Christ's suffering went beyond all human 
experience of suffering. 

 
During His journey from the Garden at Gethsemane 
until He descended in to hell He experienced the full 
consequence, pain, and weight of every sin 
committed by every single human being 
since the beginning of time.
 
His pain and suffering was not restricted 
to the physical pain of being crucified 
(as many Catholics still believe). 


 
He bore the FULL exposure to the
manifestation of pain of every single sin 
of the 12 billion people who have ever lived 
and all those still to come.

In doing so He conquered sin.

 
This is what we really mean when we talk about 
Christ carrying His cross.
 He was not carrying His Cross, he was carrying the 
12 billion crosses that bear the pain of sin of 
every human that ever lived.
 
These are the sins of the world.


 
HE ENDURED ALL OF THIS SUFFERING 
SO THAT YOU COULD BE SAVED.
 
 This is why we say in Mass.... 
 
Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins 
of the world  John 1:29
 

HOWEVER, THE FULL MANIFESTATION OF CHRIST'S SUFFERING GOES EVEN BEYOND THIS KNOWLEDGE.
  
WHAT CATHOLICS MUST ONCE AGAIN DISCOVER IS THAT EVEN IF OUT OF THE 12 BILLION PEOPLE WHO HAVE EVER LIVED ON THIS EARTH THAT YOU WERE THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WHOLE OF SALVATION HISTORY THAT HE COULD SAVE THEN...


HE WOULD STILL HAVE COME
AND ENDURED THAT SUFFERING
JUST TO SAVE YOU ALONE.
THIS IS HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU. 




What does scripture say about being 
humble before God?

Psalm 95:6
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

Ephesians 3:14-16
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

Philippians 2:9-11
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Revelation 4-10-11
......the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."


What many have forgotten is that Christ is the greatest phenomena to have ever crossed the horizon of this world. 

He is the centerpiece of civilisation.
