WHAT EXACTLY IS THE
NEW EVANGELISATION?
1. It is about engaging with God more than once a week at Mass.
2. It is about encouraging you to read the scriptures to discover what God's plan is for you in your life.
3.
It is about engaging in scripture and inviting us to actually do some
of the stuff that the Gospel tells us to do rather than be a
by-stander.
4.
It encourages you to pray everyday, morning and night. However, beyond
this it encourages Catholics to keep speaking to Him, throughout the day, so He
becomes a part of your life rather than just being the subject
of a rigid set of prayers. Remember that this is in the best tradition of our most well known Saints.
5.
It encourages young & adult Catholics to return to the Sacrament of
Reconciliation but also not to take part in communion when you are not
in a state of grace.
6. It encourages Catholics to attend Adoration (Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
7. It encourages you to explore the Catechism of the Catholic Church so that you become well versed in Catholic teaching.
8.
It
highlights the fact that even the smallest reference to faith, in a
conversation to a non-believer, is crucial. Despite it appearing
insignificant, it may very well be a small link in a long chain of events
that will eventually lead someone to God.
9. It encourages you to discover a 'reason for your hope in Christ' so that when it comes to actually speaking to a non-believer you will be able to witness to Christ by testifying to them of 'the hope you have within you'.

ABOVE ALL
THE NEW EVANGELISATION RESTS ON THE CONCEPT OF UNASHAMEDLY AND CLEARLY COMMUNICATING THE TIMELESS TRUTHS OF THE GOSPEL & THE TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
