THE CATHOLIC LANDSCAPE IN ENGLAND & WALES HAS CHANGED.
Pope Benedict has dismantled the political notions of left and right, liberal and conservative and finally restored the notion of Catholic orthodoxy. The media hasn't caught on to this yet. However, due to the determination of Catholic websites such as Protect the Pope and other prominent Catholic bloggers and commentators (with thousands of daily hits) there is now a clear distinction between

ORTHODOXY & DISSENT
This is good news because we can now stop branding vast swathes of Catholics as liberals. These are the ones who have had their understanding of Catholicism distorted by those dissenting liberals who have passed off their false doctrines as truth to unsuspecting Catholics over the past 60 years.
They are the victims of dissent and are often referred to as
'the lost generation'.
LETS US PRAY THAT THE
BENEDICTINE REFORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE AREA OF CATECHESIS,
WILL CONTINUE

Thanks for this interesting post. The frontal assault on dissent has its place, but your phrase "victims of dissent" is a good way to describe the majority of misinformed Catholics - even some of the prominent ones. Its use would be gentle and oblique, and more likely to encourage serious discussion rather than provoking a quarrel. Step by step, we can all help with the restoration.
