IT IS TIME FOR THE BISHOPS CONFERENCE TO START HEALING
THE LOST GENERATION
The Lost Generation is that generation of Catholics, from the ages of 1 to 55, who have had to 'make do' without the sacred, have had to struggle along without Catholic teaching (it's not all about sex you know), have had to muddle through without any spiritual guidance.
In essence the path to sanctity has been extremely hard for The Lost Generation and all because the modernisers in the 50's, 60's 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's & the 10's did not (and do not) want you to have an experience of true catechesis, in case it offends someone.
Maryvale in its teaching of the story of the Good Samaritan place our Bishop's at the centre of salvation history and point out that:
The Good Samaritan IS Christ
The Inn Keeper IS the Bishops i.e. the ones who have to guide you to your salvation and care for your soul.
The man is EVERYONE who is to be saved
And finally the FULL REIMBURSEMENT paid to the innkeeper (the Bishops) for their care was THE CRUCIFIXION
There is a time that comes when we have to ask ourselves....
.
.
Pope Benedict XVI has shown our Bishops the way forward, so when are the Catholic Bishops Conference of England & Wales going to stop courting liberal Catholicism, which leads to the culture of death, and start Healing the Lost Generation?

OPN,
ReplyDeleteEnlightening post-indeed when are the rancid majority of The Bishops Conference of England and Wales going to show their loyalty to The Holy Father and true Catholic Tradition also? St.John Fisher pray for them!
Cheers,
Michael.
Greetings Michael,
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I wanted to start off again (after the abdication) with a more positive post. However, I have heard the phrase 'the Lost Generation' many times and it certainly rings very extremely true.
It is certainly relevant to mention it now, because after all, surely Pope Benedict was/is the champion of this Lost Generation.
Hope all is well!
'The Lost Generation' is spot on. The trouble is, catechesis must begin at primary stage 1 so poor is their grounding in the Faith. A hard task but one that the Bishops need to address.
ReplyDeleteA Lost Generation indeed.
ReplyDeleteOne question most of us ask is: Why? By "us" I mean members of this generation who see the light; discover the authentic Church and "revert". Why then did the Church lose a generation? Was it punishment, a test, or a victory for the Enemy?
There seems to be a tendency among some who revert to get angry. It's like a stage of grieving. Many feel deprived too. I suspect that's where the 'rad trad' effect comes from.
While I don't condone hostility towards the older generations (and sadly many among the current)I emphasize with their pain. The Church wasn't perfect prior to Vatican II (Our Lady's apparitions are proof enough)yet it provided a structure for right living too sparse in our current society.
Hopefully the next pope, the third post-Council, will be able to implement a proper interpretation of the documents. There may be pain and confusion as some vines will have to be pruned.
